Global Youth Day Events

With such an army of workers as the youth of the North Bahamas Conference, on March 15, 2025, the Eight Mile Rock and South Abaco communities were saturated with their presence. “A community transformed” was the banner under which they set out on their mission. With one hundred (100) gift bags of love to share with those who needed it, the army was divided into groups who distributed and conquered their noble quest.

From community to community, door to door, person to person the young people reached out, gave their gifts, engaged in an encouraging word and ended the conversation with a prayer. Nothing but good reports were brought back by everyone who went out and did their part. One recipient said “I didn’t have anything to eat for me and my children, I thank God”. “Everyone was so receptive” was the description of each team leader.

A hearty lunch was also provided for all who attended. A wonderful fellowship it was, filled with joy, laughter and giving thanks to almighty God. In addition to the day’s activities, the youth ministries collaborated with the Rand Memorial Hospital and a blood drive was held at the Eight Mile Rock Seventh-day Adventist church. Out of the thirty (30) brave souls that were screened, ten (10) units of blood were donate. Thanks to their sacrifice, many lives will be impacted in a positive way. This is an awesome start for evangelism in this area, and it will not be the last time that Eight Mile Rock will be touched by the Youth of the North Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventist.
